Brian R. Shumaker, P.E.
Director of Engineering
Brian has more than 15 years of experience building and using a variety of instrumentation in onshore, offshore and airborne settings. He has practiced in the Lower 48, Alaska and the South Pacific. He brings a broad background in geotechnical engineering, hydrographic surveying and atmospheric chemistry to BeadedStream. Brian leads the R&D work at BeadedStream and oversees all production and order fulfillment. He is actively involved in the pre-order process of defining the customer requirements and post-order technical support. Brian is experienced in the field and travels as needed.
Brian received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cornell University in 1997. Since then he has pursued specialized training in soil and gas investigation methods, acquiring and processing side scan sonar and multiean bathymetry data, cone penetrometer testing methods, GPS survey training and geomechanical modeling. Brian is a licensed professional engineer and lives in Anchorage, Alaska with his wife, Jacqueline, and their children Shay and Malin.

Jacqueline Summers, B.A. Anthropology, M.Ed.
Operations Manager
Jacqueline oversees the management of BeadedStream’s operations. She works on fielding pre-sales questions, order logistics and processing, order fullfillment, sales, and office management. Jacqueline has lived in Alaska for 15 years and has a varied resume that includes working in a fish cannery and managing a community development project for the University of Alaska Anchorage. She has a B.A. in Anthropology and a M.Ed. in Adult Education.

Nicole Shumaker
Director of Sales
Nicole supports BeadedStream customers from initial inquiry to order fulfillment. She helps customers design, price and plan the critical details of the best temperature instrumentation solution for their project. She has 11 years experience selling advanced design software and services to architects, engineers and contractors, specializing in Building Information Modeling and Building Energy Analysis. Nicole is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a BS in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
