The Digital Difference
The Big Leap
BeadedStream Temperature Acquisition Cables (TACs) are an evolutionary leap forward in recording and gathering ground temperature data. Compared to thermistor strings, they are tougher, more reliable, and provide superior temperature information.
Digital Sensors Make a Difference
By using semiconductor-based digital sensors, analog to digital temperature conversion happens in the sensor so the output is direct temperature readings. As many as 100 individual digital temperature sensors can share a single cable connection.
Export Data Directly
Most importantly, no external convertor is required. Temperature information can be exported directly to a handheld data collector, Iridium-enabled data logger, autonomous data logger, or lap top computer using low cost, easily deployed hardware and software options. Standard RJ45 Ethernet connectors can also be used in indoor applications. BeadedStream TACs allow users to easily collect, export, and share ground temperature data.
Better Connectors
TACs have heavy-duty outdoor rated connectors featuring gold-plated contacts with IP65 specification dust and water protection. These provide reliable long-life connections and excellent performance.
Tougher Cable
A much thicker outer insulation cable jacket resists dust, chemicals, abrasion, splitting, and kinking.
